For the 2021 model year, the Honda Civic Type-R also comes with a Limited Edition trim, which is priced at $43,995 and gets a few mechanical and cosmetic changes. Despite its gloriously juvenile bodywork, the 2021 Honda Civic Type R is a hugely entertaining and entirely practical hatchback. -Car and Driver

Coming in at a base price of $37,895, the 2021 Honda Civic Type-R is equipped with a 2.0L turbocharged motor punching out an impressive 306 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This forced induction motor is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and comes with an FWD. The 2021 Civic Type-R Hatchback is one of the most powerful machines that deliver pretty decent gas mileage of 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway.

One could avail the 2021 Honda Civic Type-R with a lease option as well, by paying $507 while signing and the same for a period of 36 months. Honda has reworked the vehicle to eliminate the dreaded torque steer and as a result, it improved the handling and maneuverability at high speeds. The 2021 Honda Civic Type R will counter the likes of 2021 Toyota Yaris GR, 2021 Volkswagen Golf GTI, and 2021 Hyundai Veloster N.

2021 Honda Civic Type R vs 2021 Hyundai Veloster N

The 2021 Hyundai Veloster N is a performance hatchback that is yet another track-focused machine for the segment. The 2021 Veloster N is the most affordable performance vehicle in the lineup too, coming in at a base MSRP of $27,895, undercutting the 2021 Civic Type-R by almost $10,000. But it is not as capable as the 2021 Honda Civic Type-R as it lacks behind in features and equipment. It is also not as entertaining to drive as the 2021 Honda Civic Type-R too. However, for the price, the 2021 Veloster N is an impressive moniker if you want a decently powerful and capable hatchback.

A Perfect Civic Type-R

Pros - Simple design and spacious cabin and good cargo

Cons - Bit pricy for the features, small cargo space

Good driveability Great ability to drive in the city and handles well everywhere that we come across in our day. The powerful engine is more practical. The smooth and comfortable rideable vehicle. The steering response is the best. The cargo space was good and very cost effective. Craig was very helpful and quick in completing all the processes in time and gave all the info regarding the car and it's features twice which made us understand the car better. Thanks for that craig!!

2021 Honda Civic Type-R

Pros - Cabin space, cross-over, compact and quiet

Cons - Not for extreme terrains, little less updated, suspension dynamics lack dynamism for off-roading

Best Honda Ever Look! when I say that it is the best Honda, I mean it. This is the best Hatchback and sports car ever. I am in US for a year and probably gonna stay more, and coming from a engineering background I am well aware with cars and technicalities. This car just takes you in, and then engine pumps out the necessary power to show you the sports feels of a car. It is very comfortable and very safe as well.

Type-R

Pros - Exhaust sound, performance, Type-R

Cons - Not a single thing

Thrilling to drive If I were to be a little modest I’d say Civic Type-R can take care of itself on freeways or on a red light. And if I were to exaggerate the performance I’d say it can rip the tarmac. In reality, it is none of the two. It is something in between. Sure, it can take care of itself on highways but it can do much more than that apart from ripping the tarmac, of course.
