The 2021 Jaguar F-Type has received a mid-cycle refresh this year. Released in Fall 2020, it is available for sale in 2 trim configurations, Base and First Edition. The 2021 Jaguar F-Pace starts at a base MSRP of $61,600 and goes up to $73,100, for the first edition trim. Both the trims are powered by a 2.0L turbocharged Inline-4 engine that churns out 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to this powertrain, the 2021 F-Type can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 5.4 seconds. The interior has been revamped significantly and receives redesigned elements, upscale materials, and a new infotainment system. Though traditionally a coupe, it is also available as a drop-top model in the form of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type Convertible.

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe also comes with a brand new 12.3" digital gauge cluster display too. On the other side of the coin, the flagship 2020 Jaguar F-Type SVR  has been discontinued for the 2021 model year. Instead, the 2021 F-Type R is the flagship moniker, offering 575 hp from its supercharged V8 motor and starts at an MSRP of $103,200. There are lucrative lease deals as well. At a 0% financing rate, you will have to give $3,092 as a downpayment (including the destination charge) at the time of signing. Once that is done, you can lease the 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe P300 for just $684/month for 36 months. The 2021 Jaguar F-Type is here to compete with the likes of the 2021 Mercedes AMG C 43 Coupe, 2021 Porsche 718 Cayman, and 2021 Lexus RC 350 F Sport.

Overall Rating

The F-Type has spry handling, robust engine performance, and many standard features, but it’s let down by its cramped interior and poor predicted reliability rating. - Cars.USnews

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type embarks on a mid-cycle refresh this year and is offered in the same 2 trim configurations. Available for sale at a base price of $61,600 for the P300 trim and an MSRP of $73,100 for the First Edition trim, the 2021 Jaguar F-Type comes with the same 2L turbocharged inline-4 motor putting out 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. The power is routed to the RWD drivetrain and this performance coupe comes with 8-speed automatic transmission. The exterior is redesigned significantly while the interior gets revamped with finer materials, new features, and an overall luxurious vibe. A new infotainment system, digital driver display, and leather on all interior surfaces are offered in both trims too.

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type is quite a value-for-money proposition if you intend to get your ride leased out. The base P300 trim can be had for a minimum lease price of just $684/month for an estimated down payment of $3,092. This is for a 36-month term. If you wish to get your ride financed, the 2021 Jaguar F-Type can be had for an estimated monthly payment of $873 for a 60-month term. Being a luxury coupe offering, the 5-year cost of ownership of $88,500 is on par with the segment rivals. A low 4.63 miles per dollar ratio is also an added advantage. Both the 5-year cost of ownership and the average miles per dollar ratio tell about the decent reliability and dependability of the updated 2021 Jaguar F-Type.

The Jaguar F-Type blends attractive design with thrilling performance- MotorTrend

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe comprises two trim configurations: P300 and the First Edition. The price for the entry-level trim is $61,600 and the First Edition trim comes at an MSRP of $73,100. Both the trims come with the same 2L turbocharged inline-4 motor putting out 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an RWD drivetrain layout. For this 2021 iteration, Jaguar has managed to implement a 12.3" digital gauge cluster display, updated exterior styling, and a new 10" touchscreen infotainment system.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe Third Quarter View

The InControl Touch Pro infotainment system on offer in the 2021 Jaguar F-Type gets all the features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM radio, voice recognition, etc as standard. The audio duties are handled by a 10-speaker Meridian audio system. Along with that, many exterior features like 20" aluminum machine-finished alloy wheels wrapped in P255/35R20 front & P295/30R20 rear tires, powered spoiler, LED headlights and taillights, and many more are standard. The 2021 Jaguar F-Type also comes with a few driver-assistance features like forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist as standard too.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Buying Advice

8.5/10

Among the two trims on offer, we would recommend you to pick up the 2021 Jaguar F-Type First Edition trim. Even though the 2021 Jaguar F-Type First Edition is quite a bit expensive, coming in at an MSRP of $73,100, which is about $12,000 more than the 2021 Jaguar F-Type P300 trim, you are getting the exclusivity of a First Edition model. Furthermore, it comes with the bigger 20-inch alloy wheels, better safety and driver-assistance tech, and a more luxurious interior, in comparison to the regular 2021 F-Type P300 trim. However, if you are willing to give that exclusivity a miss, then the Base P300 trim strikes the right chord due to its value-for-money price tag.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Engine and Performance

8.5/10

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type offers impressive performance.- Cars.USNews

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type, which is available for sale at a base MSRP of $61,600, comes equipped with a dynamic engine offering for both the trims, a 2.0L Turbocharged Inline-4 engine as standard. It produces 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain comes hooked to an 8-speed automatic transmission that puts the power to the RWD drivetrain as standard. The transmission is a ZF sourced torque converter unit and offers driver-selectable transmission modes and manual shifting too. Unfortunately, AWD has been dropped for this year.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe Engine

While the 2021 Jaguar F-Type has gone for a major facelift, underneath the skin, the chassis is pretty much the same as the previous versions. Jaguar engineers tuned the anti-roll bars and are now softer at the front, and stiffer at the back. The steering has been recalibrated which makes the car more responsive and progressive on the limit. As a result, the 2021 Jaguar F-Type is slightly more fun to drive and offered a more pliant ride quality, over both slow city speeds as well as while highway riding.

The 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe goes from 0-60 MPH in 5.4 Seconds

The 2021 Jaguar F-type Coupe goes from 0-60 mph in 5.4 seconds which is quite impressive, but still lower than its competition. The top speed is limited to 155 MPH which is more than enough for a daily driver. In terms of braking performance, the 2021 Jaguar F-Type managed to do the 60-0 mph braking test in just 101 feet, which can be partly attributed to the large 14" brake rotors at the front and 12.8" brake rotors at the rear. The feel and feedback on offer from the brake pedal and the initial bite and progression were excellent too in the 2021 Jaguar F-Type.

The refreshed 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe is actually underpowered since almost all the rivals are powered by bigger six-cylinder engines. The 2021 Mercedes-AMG C 43 Coupe is a true powerhouse and tops the charts with a 385 hp motor while the 2021 Lexus RC 350 F Sport comes in the next position with 311 hp. The 2021 Porsche offers its 2021 718 Cayman with a four-cylinder engine, which makes 300 hp and finds itself a sweet spot in third place. In terms of the 0-60 mph times, the 2021 Mercedes AMG C43 Coupe and the 2021 Porsche 718 Cayman managed to top the chart with a time of 4.5 seconds.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Fuel Economy

9.0/10

For 2021, the Jaguar F-Type is mostly fuel-efficient as far as two-door sports cars are concerned.- The Car Connection

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe comes with a very respectable MPG figure. It offers 23 MPG in the city, 30 MPG on the highway, and 26 MPG of combined gas mileage. For a sports coupe that is priced at an MSRP of $61,600, these figures are pretty similar to pocket-friendly family sedans out there. However, these MPG figures drop significantly as you upgrade to the more powerful V6 or V8 models of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe Instrument Cluster

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type comes with a 16.6-gallon fuel tank that makes way for a combined overall range of 388 miles after a full refuel. So you will probably complete the trip from Los Angeles to Fresno easily in one full tank. The city range of 333 miles and the highway range of 481 miles offered by 2021 F-Type makes it one of the best city and highway cruisers of the segment too.

On the other hand, with its big lumpy V6 engine, the 2021 Lexus RC 350 F Sport is the least fuel-efficient of the lot, while the 2021 Mercedes AMG C 43 Coupe only improves on those figures slightly. The 2021 Porsche 718 Cayman is surprisingly more fuel-efficient than the Lexus and Mercedes, however, it still needs to work its way to the top, since the 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe has cemented itself as the most fuel-efficient offering of the segment.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Interior

Inside, the 2021 F-type maintains a driver-centric design that's accentuated with a mix of racy and rich materials.- CarAndDriver

The interior of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe is basically a heavily reworked version of the old 2020 F-type. The interior gets Morzine leather upholstery on all surfaces like the steering wheel, seats, and door panels. The seats offer power adjustability and heating capability as well. There is a new 12.3" digital driver screen behind the multifunction steering wheel which makes the driving experience immersive and experiential. However, the front seats of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type turned out to be mediocre in terms of space, due to subpar headroom and legroom on offer, in comparison to the rivals.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe comes with leather upholstery

The center console houses most of the in-vehicular controls. It is minimalist and blends in perfectly with the vibe of the interior. To keep you comfortable, the 2021 F-Type Coupe also comes with dual-zone climate control and ambient lighting which can be set accordingly as per your mood. Despite looking small and compact, the interior of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type is quite feature-rich in comparison to most of the rivals. However, the 2021 Jaguar F-Type is a 2-seater sports coupe and that limits its versatility in comparison to the rivals.

The 2021 Lexus RC 350 F Sport juts all the space in the front and cramps out the rear row. 2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Exterior

9.5/10

It looks absolutely belting! - Top Gear

The most prominent change in the 2021 Jaguar F-Type is on its exterior. The body of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type is heavily remodeled with an all-new lower and wider front grille. However, the most significant update in the front view is the design of the headlamps, which is an LED automatic unit with integrated LED DRLs They are set lower than before, making it look sharper and elegant. This aggressive front-end design makes the nose of the car longer than before, even though the car has the same exact proportions as the 2020 Jaguar F-Type. The best-in-class width of 74.2" makes it quite handsome and gives the 2021 F-Type an unmatched road presence.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe Third Quarter View

The front splitter is longer and comes with an F-type logo and adds to even more aggressive looks. The clamshell bonnet looks classic. The whole rear bumper is redesigned with prominent creases, making it look quite sharp. The rear end of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type also gets elegant LED taillights and a massive rear diffuser. The side view of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type follows the classic British design language, with the iconic body lines and fender flares housing massive 20" machine-finished aluminum-alloy wheels wrapped in P255/35R20 front & P295/30R20 rear tires. However, the length of 176" and wheelbase of 103.2" makes it one of the smallest of the segment, which is one of the reasons behind its poor interior space.

2021 Jaguar F-TYPE Safety

8.0/10

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type comes with an array of modern driver assistance features that should keep both occupants in one piece in the case of a serious accident. - CarBuzz

The 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe does not leave safety out in the blue in its pursuit of style and performance. The NHTSA and IIHS have not rated the 2021 Jaguar F-Type since its launch back in 2013. Judging by that track record, it does not seem likely to happen this year either. Nevertheless, the build quality of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type was quite impressive for the segment.

That being said, the 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe comes with a lot of primary and secondary safety features as standard. Some of the notable features of the safety suite of the 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe include Driver Condition Monitor, Emergency Braking, Emergency Brake Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), 6 airbags, Lane Keep Assist, forward-collision warning, etc. Some of the other driver-assistance features like blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are offered as an optional extra.

2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe Vs 2021 Porsche 718 Cayman

The 2021 Porsche 718 Cayman is the quintessential driver's car if you want a true RWD coupe. It costs less than the 2021 Jaguar F-Type and packs more punch overall with its 300 hp powertrain. The 0-60 mph time and the quarter-mile time posted by the 2021 Porsche 718 Cayman are also better, but that is pretty much about it. The 2021 F-Type Coupe has a more luxurious interior, more safety features, and segment-leading MPG figures, all of which make its case a lot stronger.

2021  Porsche 718 Cayman

2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe Vs 2021 Mercedes AMG C 43 Coupe

The 2021 Mercedes AMG C 43 Coupe is the most luxurious and opulent option in this lineup. It is also the most powerful option in this lineup and yet costs lesser than the 2021 Jaguar F-Pace. Available for sale at a base MSRP of $59,000, it offers adequately spaced two rows of seating and spectacular acceleration. The only area where the 2021 Jaguar F-Type takes the lead is in terms of the MPG figure it returns. Hence, you can very well be happy with a 2021 Mercedes AMG C 43 Coupe in your garage.

2021 Mercedes AMG C 43

2021 Jaguar F-Type Vs 2021 Lexus RC 350 F Sport

The 2021 Lexus RC 350 F Sport, which is available for a much cheaper selling price of just $49,250, is probably one of the most stylish-looking cars in this lineup. It comes with the signature spindle grille along with "L" blade LED headlamps. In a world of turbocharged engines, the 2021 RC 350 F Sport comes with a naturally aspirated V6 under the hood, producing an impressive 410 hp. Compared to the 2021 F-Type Coupe, the 2021 Lexus RC 350 F Sport is slightly slower in terms of 0-60 mph, even with a more powerful motor. Along with that, despite being a 4-seater, the rear row is cramped too. The gas mileage on offer from the 2021 RC 350 F Sport is mediocre as well.

The driving experience is sublime for the price it asks, and the ownership experience is fairly hassle-free. Hence, if you want the quintessential English sportscar, then the 2021 Jaguar F-Type Coupe is worth buying.

2021 Jaguar F-Type

Pros - Craftsmanship, performance, handling

Cons - Space in cabin is not much for tall people, rest is perfect

Jaguar F-type True Sports car, And my first of this kind. I have never owned and driven anything like this before. Trust me this car is just the best. It has amazing maneuverability. Its precise steering makes for a great drive time, brakes are perfect, and interiors meant for sports like drive. I love everyday with this car. Buy it quick if you want time of your life.

wild racer

Pros - It's a wild car and this car is meant to be treated the same way

Cons - I love the car but space for passengers is bit crampped well that could have been something which sure should have been looked at buy Jaguar

sleek body, aerodynamic perfect airflow for fast speed, modern spec 12.3inch display for 2 seater is just perfect, controls are so easy to handle, ambient interior lights, slim shape, bonnet is long enough to give proper edge to shape needed in this speedster traffic sign reader, speed limiter, abs, just have fun while you have bought it, leave thinking process on sides.

Sleek

Pros - When you see this car the only thing that comes out of your mouth is a deep exhale saying complete satisfaction

Cons - I deny to find faults and reject talking to those who are willing to find faults, i will take this beauty as it is but i would say that it's pricey making a big cut in deposits

design superiority, good price ,safety check two seater has good space little low for tall and bulky people but who cares!, i like my fun which i am getting at in this total beast supreme, seats are leather covered, design is really perfect in rear giving sporty and power appeal, it's meant to be treated like god, airbags, tpms, parking assist, buy it and have time of life.
